Joshua chapter 14 tells a very interesting story from which we can learn some profound life lessons. As Joshua was allotting the land of Canaan to the tribes of Israel as their inheritance according to the commandments of Moses, Caleb made a very strong claim. At 85 years of age, Caleb was demanding his mountain that was promised to him 45 years earlier by Moses. Caleb was one of the spies that had gone into Canaan to spy out the land. As a result of his firm stance and belief in the promises of God, he was promised that mountain as an inheritance.
